Amy Grant will sing in Bakersfield on 10/18/2008 to try and clean up the racketeering trial. The trial really starts on 9/16/2008. Mail and wire fraud. This is the Adventist Health System in Bakersfield, CA. San Joaquin Community Hospital.

decembergurl31: You wanna hear "Awesome!", you should hear the original by Rich Mullins.

Amy chops this up and leaves out almost half the song - the part which most praises God and shows beautiful deep respect for Him. milkman3848: You say so rightly, "...the late and very great Rich Mullins." One of the finest Christian songwriters in a century

Rich had no idea who Amy Grant was when he wrote this song. With the backing of an uncle of his, he and his band Zion recorded the song on their album, "Behold the Man." Someone asked Amy to listen to it, and she was thrilled with it. Rich was still young and inexperienced; he had no manager at that time and really didn't know what to do when he was approached about the rights to it. As he tells it, the thing that convinced him to meet with Amy in Nashville was the offer of a plane ticket.
