Yes, you must study everything in context. I studied Ancient history for 4 years and the bible for 6 years. The only reason the bible and history are connected is because of christianity being a malign tumour on the world. If we leave christianity out we lose millions upon millions of deathes, the Aztecs, Incas, Native American Indians, Romans, Non believers, the list is endless. This doesn't give any proof to the bible though.

Just so its clear the comment from sadlyconcerned is for Aitken1230. And as far as the Bible being a storybook, You need to take a world history class and then actually study the Bible and compare the two because you can't study world history and leave Christianity out without their being huge holes that make no sense and breaks in history. Seems like you might have made an idiot of yourself.
