@RhoadsLynch actually lynch was performing on that night, with a band called "the boyz". Gene chose van halen to go with him to new york for a possible record deal, but van halen wasnt signed until after.

@chuckrocks69 You said he signed VH over Lynch and Dokken. Who gives a fuck anyway? That reflects more on the band as a whole. George Lynch is a world respected artist and if you don't like him that's your choice.
