obviously i love bowie or else i wouldnt be watching this, but it always surprises me how many people just talk about how shitty modern music. once upon a time bowie was a contemporary artist and all our parents told us how shitty he was and that the music from their youth was the only real music. i never wright off anything just because its new, and neither does bowie he evolved with time and even had an industrial album

I remember when this came out Bowie said he thought it was the most beautiful song he'd ever written. I loved it, but didn't agree. Now, I've re-discovered my old soundtrack, and have been listening to all the songs again, I've had enough time to distance it from the film (yes, it didn't quite work, but I loved the intent of it, and many of it's elements - and the music!). I can now appreciate the song just as a song for its own sake. I understand now. Yes Mr Bowie, it really is beautiful.

I remember at the time Bowie said he thought this was the most beautiful song he'd ever written. I loved it, but didn't agree. Now I've re-discovered my old CASSETTE soundtrack, and started listening to it again, I understand. I've had enough time since I saw the movie (yes, didn't quite work, but still loved it's intention, and many of the fantastic elements of it), that I can listen to it as just a song on it's own. Yes Mr Bowie. It is truly beautiful.

Brilliant lyrics and music...every couple should have this as their song as words are appropriate......sad it was a mediocre film....
