@FloridaClouds Your getting bogged down in semantics..Air pollution as in "traffic based 'air' pollution" in my own country has around £8billion spent on treatment of the effects.I'm talking about pollutants from diesel fumes too. All scientifically studied, peer reviewed science from thousands of sources linking pollution to cancer hotspots on major roads, eye problems, respiratory, heart etc etc..go use google scholar

@eldictator1 The particulates and poisons in the air are exactly that: AIRBORNE. The pollution comes from the AIR, not from the exhaust of our autos and strictly regulated industry. Look UP. WAKE UP. Ever seen them in the sky? Ever seen the crisscross patterns of "clouds" in the sky that dim the sun and soil the air? There is alluminum, barium, stronzium, arsenic, copper, silicia and other heavy metals and chemicals raining DOWN on you. LOOK UP!

@ALLnameCHOICESrTAKEN Yes and yes...as stated countless times before even when powered solely by coal fired plants, the C02 levels are still lower. If you think global warming is a crock and don't believe converging evidence from thousands of peer reviewed sources, fair enough..However Air pollution is reduced. I'm talking about particulates that get in your lungs and cause cardiovascular problems, hundreds of thousands die due to related problems..you or you family may experience asthma.

@TheOmegAlpha So true. A century ago there were more than 20 manufacturers. Driving range on a full charge was about 40 miles.Personally I prefer a hydrogen tank linked to a fuel cell, instead of batteries. Quick refill, less weight and the gas companies can still make money, so they won't kill it off.As a bonus hydrogen can fuel existing combustion engines.
