still, the situation is like a lead violinist developing a sudden urge to play an fullsize octabass. yes, both are stringed instruments and can be written to do the same thing but at the end of the day - they serve different roles unless, as said - given room to shine. i hear you on mechanical standpoint but behind that, guitar=bass=guitar comparison is a bit off. i guess this is just me.

@somberlightThat's exactly my point. Playing like this on a bass would make you terribly overqualified for 99% of bands, and it would rarely integrate properly.
