Ustad Bismillah Khan will always be remembered for his unconditional love and dedication to Indian Classical music. His efforts and dedication brought shehnai from a level of an instrument only played during auspicious occasions in Indian households to a level of a classical music instrument.

Ustad Bismillah Khan will always be remembered for his unconditional love and dedication for Indian Classical music...this piece of music really stirred my soul again....I wish I could have ever taken his blessings....As an Indian I will always have a fond memory of Ustadji giving an interview to a journalist at the JFK Airport; where he commented on Ronal Reagans offer to settle down in USA;Ustad ji said that bring Varanasi here and I will settle here in USA.Such was his love for Varanasi. |
