From the ´80 till the ´90 they where mostly focused on metal-guitars (mostly with neck-through constructions)...Today they have a larger sortiment - also with "classic" Strats oder Paulas. But if they have a special tone can i not say...

I own 3 Carvin's: two guitars and one bass. Even though I own a bunch of Gibsons, Carvin's can definately hold their own...and for the price, they are definately a great buy.

@mrichman You do know that a CNC machine can hold tolerances much tighter than anything done my hand, right? CNC's can easily hold +/- .0001" which is nearly impossible to hold by hand.
