i don't see why you view it as God "had" to do anything. God "could have" done anything, right? and what God did, should leave evidence behind that we can observe today, right?wouldn't it be the same thing if God "had" to do it in 6 days? why not 5 days or 4 days? i don't see it as a "has to" thing.even in the 6day literalist account, we are made after all the animals. it's not like we are created first in the YEC version either.

macro and micro evolution are merely different measurements of the same thing going on (change in gene frequencies). you really can't have one without the other, especially given what's obvious in the fossil record, and what is clearly the geological age of the earth. because humans did come around so recently, there is a substantiated fossil record for human evolution, despite common creationist claims.. i know it's a sensitive subject but i hope we can talk about it some time.
